Growing up in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains, my journey has always been deeply connected to the natural world and the rugged beauty of the American West. My early years were spent exploring from the swamplands and blackberry brambles to the peaks of the Pacific Northwest, instilling in me a profound reverence for natures grandeur.

That bond with the land only deepened during my time in the ranchlands of Texas, where I immersed myself in the vibrant culture and romance of the Western lifestyle. Now based in Kansas, I draw daily inspiration from the wide open plains and small town rodeos of the Midwest.

I grew up surrounded by my great grandmothers paintings. My favorite was an oil she painted of two cowboys riding through a desolate valley. Despite loving art and growing up surrounded by hers I didn’t see it as a future for myself until I was accepted as a tattoo artist apprentice in 2016. That chapter of my life was tragically cut short. After working through my apprenticeship the pain from trigeminal neuralgia made it impossible to continue tattooing. However, those 2 years pushed me back to painting with renewed focus and intention. I haven’t looked back since.

Today I primarily work in watercolor, but will still produce work in many mediums including tattoo ink. My style leans toward dark Americana rooted in weathered textures, emotion and a deep reverence for the land and the people who live close to it. I photograph cattle, rodeos, landscapes, and rural life, often using my own photographs as reference material for my pieces.

Every painting I create is a tribute to the untamed, enduring and often overlooked spirit of the American West. It’s my way of honoring the land, the legacy of the cowboy, and the quiet strength that still runs through this country’s backroads and pastures.
